Sunset

Description:

Sunset was made in about 3 weeks as part of an AI course. The focus was to make an enemy AI that would respond to player attacks while also allowing openings to let the player attack successfully. Over the course of developing Sunset, the project changed specifications a few times. Early on the project changed to require the use of a pre-made asset. Furthermore the project originally only called for a single AI, however a second AI was added as a requirement. While the first change came early enough that it was easy to implement, the second change came midway through development and was more difficult to integrate into what had already been built. To accommodate the requirement for a second AI I gave the camera minor behaviours to move dynamically based on the clash system, which also added a more cinematic feel to the game.   • Developed player-responsive AI and behaviours.
  • Designed fast gameplay that utilises the mouse to remain simple and intuitive.
  • Built a dynamic camera system that enhances player-AI clashes.
  • Made all 3D and 2D assets.
  • Created and mastered all sounds and audio.

  • Made in Unity.
  • 2D art done in Photoshop.
  • 3D art done in Maya and MagicaVoxel.
  • Audio edited in Reaper.
